Simon Paisley Day has extensive experience in television, film and on the stage.

He first appeared onscreen in the first episode of the fifth series of the cult science fiction comedy 'Red Dwarf' in 1992. His credits include guest roles in television stalwarts 'Casualty', 'Peak Practice', and 'The Bill', as well as roles in the Christopher Eccleston era 'Doctor Who' episode 'The End of the World', the sixth episode of 'Being Human's second series; 'Midsomer Murders'; and 'Hustle'.

In 2012, Simon appeared as Major Barrymore in 'Sherlock: The Hounds of Baskerville', and the ITV mini-series 'Titanic', from Julian Fellowes - the creator of 'Downton Abbey'. Simon played Sir Cosmo Duff Gordon, one of the most famous survivors of the sinking of the RMS Titanic.
