Angelo is indebted to Sherlock Holmes. Whenever he comes into
Angelo's restaurant he insists that anything on the menu, whatever
Sherlock wants, is free, on the house, for him and his 'date'…
sorry we meant John, who is most definitely NOT Sherlock's date
(even if there is a candle on the table as it's more romantic!)
So why is Angelo so indebted to Sherlock Holmes? Well, Sherlock
got him off a murder charge, that's why.
Three years ago, Sherlock successfully proved to Lestrade at the
time of a particularly vicious triple murder, that Angelo was in a
completely different part of town, house breaking. He cleared his
name. Well, cleared it a bit.
But for Sherlock, Angelo would have gone to prison. Well, he did
go to prison… so, erm…
Anyway, in return for the favour, Angelo likes to assist
Sherlock when he can. He knows to watch, not to interfere, and goes
along with whatever Sherlock's plan is; he always has a plan.
Basically bad news for bad people.
Remember 'The Headless Nun'? Ah, now that was a case! Same
again?
