Gary runs 'The Cross Keys Inn', which has boutique rooms and
vegetarian cuisine, with his partner Billy.
They've been rushed off their feet recently with the tourist
trade and all, with lots of rooms booked up, so it was a pity they
couldn't do a double room for the boys who came down from London on
the hunt for Henry Knight's monster from hell, God bless him. Said
they'd seen that documentary that was on TV quite recently.
Not that that is all they have around the area. There's also
'The Great Grimpen Mine Field'. It's not what you think though,
it's the Baskerville testing site that's been going for eighty odd
years, but not sure if anyone really knows what's there anymore.
There's not just explosives though, if you break into that place,
if you're lucky, you just get blown up so they say, incase while
visiting the area you're planning on a nice stroll?
It messes up tourist a bit, so thank God for the demon hound.
Not that Gary's ever seen it, but Fletcher has who runs the monster
walks for the tourists. Handy for trade as the meeting point is
just outside 'The Cross Keys'.
A great big dog running wild on the moor, it was heaven sent and
they were just trying to give things a boost when they got the dog.
It was like them having their own lock ness monster. It was just a
joke, you know?
