The extraordinary, Bond villain-like lair that Charles Augustus Magnussen inhabits in His Last Vow is actually a spectacular mansion located on the edge of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire.

In reality, the property is named Swinhay House.  The futuristic stylings of the exterior are constructed from a combination of traditional and modern materials, including local Cotswold stone, glass, steel and wood. The property is spread across ten floors totaling 2160m² / 23,250ft² of floor space, which include a 25 metre / 82 foot long swimming pool, cinema, and indoor bowling alley. One of the most striking interior features, as seen in His Last Vow, is the fully enclosed glazed winter garden. The property reportedly cost £30m to construct.

Swinhay House occupies 60 acres of garden parkland, itself located within a 230 acre estate of woodlands, fields and orchards. As it is private house public access is restricted.
