Onscreen, the exterior of the infamous Diogenes Club is actually
The British Academy in Carlton Terrace. The Academy has existed
under royal charter since 1902, and functions as the United
Kingdom's national body for the humanities and social sciences. It
is an independent and self -governed charity. Thankfully, talking
is thus encouraged within the building.
The closest underground is Charing Cross [Bakerloo, Northern].
Cross Trafalgar Square and pass underneath Admiralty Arch onto The
Mall. Walking towards Buckingham Palace, stay on the right side of
the road, and turn right to climb the stone staircase leading up to
the Duke of York Memorial. You will emerge onto Carlton House
Terrace, with The British Academy on your immediate right.
