The Diogenes Club

Address
The British Academy
10 Carlton House Terrace

Much like 221B and Speedwell's Tea Rooms, the Victorian incarnation of The Diogenes Club occupies exactly the same spot in London as its more familiar modern day incarnation, just with the liberty of additional set dressing to bring about the period aesthetic.

The interior of the club was shot at Hensol Castle, a Grade I listed building in the Vale of Glamorgan in Wales. The estate dates from at least 1419, with the building itself much extended and modified by numerous owners over its lifetime. In the last hundred years Hensol Castle has seen use as a hospital for adults with learning difficulties, and today is used as a wedding and conference venue.
