The Packet

95 Stryd Bute
South Glamorgan
CF10 5AB

Briefly glimpsed at the conclusion of His Last Vow, The Packet is a pub located in central Cardiff. It was originally built in 1864 to serve as a hotel for sailors visiting the city, and the name derives from the packet steamers that used to frequent the Cardiff docks.

The location plays a far more prominent part in the Sherlock mini-sode Many Happy Returns as the meeting point for Lestrade and Anderson, and considering Lestrade's appearance there at the conclusion of His Last Vow, it's probably safe to say the pub is a favourite of the Detective Inspector.
