Wellington Barracks

Wellington Barracks
Birdcage Walk

Located in central London on the south side of St James's Park along Birdcage Walk, Wellington Barracks are home to the Foot Guards, the Regular Infantry regiments of the Household Division of the British Army that currently serve on public duties in the capital. Originally opened in 1833, the barracks are strictly off limits to members of the public.

Attached to the barracks is The Guards Museum, telling the history of the regiments that have operated out of the barracks since they opened, and it is the gated entrance to the courtyard that encloses the museum that Bainbridge is seen as a sentry for in during scenes in The Sign of Three. In reality, the entrance is not attended by any guards.

In addition to the London location work for Wellington Barracks, some interiors were shot at the Glamorgan Building in Cathays Park, Cardiff.
