Whitfield Street

Running parallel to Tottenham Court Road, Whitfield Street is located within the London Borough of Camden. Much of the street is newly built after the Second World War, having been destroyed in The Blitz.

Whitfield Street appears only briefly in The Reichenbach Fall, but plays host to the conclusion of the most dramatic taxi ride since A Study in Pink. Filming took place at the north end of the road, between the junctions of Chitty Street and Howland Street.

The nearest underground is Goodge Street [Northern]. Walk up Tottenham Court Road before turning onto Tottenham Street, and then left onto Whitfield Street. The section of the road used for filming is just ahead.
