We've just received the following information from the lovely
people at BBC Worldwide, who are celebrating Benedict Cumberbatch's
birthday today with a range of programming on their social sites
and on the BBC Global iPlayer App.
As it is Benedict's birthday today we at
the BBC Global iPlayer are celebrating on our social pages too! Our
app and Facebook page are available in 16 countries (Western
Europe, Canada and Australia).
We want to let Benedict's fans from outside the UK know they can
catch some great performances by him on the app.
We have 'Sherlock' in Canada, 'Van Gogh: Painted with Words'
in Europe and 'Small Island" in Europe and Australia for example.
Apart from the shows being available on the app, we'll be posting a
gallery of photos from said shows on our Facebook page, including
some behind the scenes pictures from the first series of 'Sherlock'
for fans in Canada.
As we are the international version of BBC iPlayer, we are
unavailable in the UK, but we can see that many of your followers
come from all over the world!
