Centre stage on the coffee table by the sofa in 221b is this stainless steel fruit bowl, usually holding a quantity of delicious looking apples. Styled as an openwork basket made from welded steel rods and measuring 33 cm in diameter and 10.5 cm high, the fruit basket is designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana, Brazilian brothers. The pair explore the use of industrial materials in minimal quantities, and the basket is intended to appear as if it has been constructed almost at random.
