A design classic since release in 1996, the Bang and Olufsen BeoSound 9000 is a stylish 6 CD multi-changer hifi unit, either wall mountable - as Sherlock has chosen in his bedroom, over the bookcase - or attached to a free standing unit. Coupled with a pair of striking pencil shaped BeoLab 8000 series speakers, Sherlock is able to listen to around seven hours of music in pristine quality in his room.

It's unclear exactly which model of system Sherlock owns. The BeoSound has undergone three product revisions since its release, while the speakers are currently available as the 8002 series. No cosmetic changes have been made to either - the revisions are focused purely on internal functionality to keep pace with the advance of internet radio and other modern technologies.

Bang and Olufsen is a Danish technology manufacturer, establishing in 1925. The company prides itself on producing  premium audio and video products for discerning and demanding enthusiasts.
