In Series One, Sherlock owns a Czardas Violin. These are made in China from well-selected wood and varnish and are designed to resemble 18th Century Italian violins.

Available exclusively from Cardiff Violins, the instrument produces an extremely nice sound, and despite being relatively inexpensive in comparison to other violins they are used by a number of professional players and are highly respected.
