The striking black dress Irene Adler wears near the close of A Scandal in Belgravia is the T17 from Jacques Azagury's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. While the original pattern is still available from the company, the Black silk cellophane organza fabric that the screen version was made from no longer is.

Jacques Azagury trained at the London College of Fashion and St. Martin's School of Art, and was quickly recruited by Brown's Boutique in London after graduating in the 1980s, with his fashion finding its way into stores like Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys New York soon after. His own flagship store opened in Knightsbridge, London in 1987.

Azagury's iconic evening wear designs are beloved by celebrities, and he famously designed numerous dresses for Diana Princess of Wales.
