John Watson has added a couple of new coats to his wardrobe in Sherlock Series Two. The first to appear, debuting during his trip to Battersea Power Station in A Scandal in Belgravia, is a Barbour International Jacket in heavyweight waxed sandstone coloured cotton. The jacket also features a pure cotton check lining, a corduroy storm collar with an adjustable neck strap and buckle, multiple storm flap protected pockets, and a stiffened belt that can be buckled. This particular jacket is sadly discontinued.

Founded in 1894 by John Barbour, the company originally made oilskins to protect against the inclement weather of the port of South Shields in Tyne and Wear, England. The company opened its first store in Wimbledon in London in 1916, and this later relocated in 1992 to the current flagship store in Covent Garden. The company holds a number of Royal Warrants and supplies waterproof and protective clothing to HRH Queen Elizabeth II, HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, HRH The Prince of Wales. And John Watson.
