When we are properly introduced to Irene Adler onscreen in A Scandal in Belgravia, she is wearing a military inspired Illusion Bolero Sheath Dress from Alexander McQueen's fashion house.

This dress was designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director at the company following McQueen's death. Burton famously designed Catherine Middleton's dress in which she wed Prince William at the 2011 British Royal Wedding.

Lee Alexander McQueen founded the fashion house in 1992, and it has risen to one of the most famous in modern British fashion. Alexander McQueen has boutiques in London, New York, Milan, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Beijing, as well as franchised stores and product availability in numerous other shops around the world.

Dress features:

  • Ivory fabric
  • Round neckline, open-front bolero with tonal buttons on open front
  • Cap sleeves
  • Illusion square neckline at bust
  • Semi-fitted sheath silhouette
  • Back zip on centre seam
  • Wool crepe
